I am a huge believer in "If you want it done RIGHT, you should do it SLOWLY." But after six years of zero progress on my master bedroom, I hired Melissa to help get me motivated. Live Well was a replacement for another designer who did not work out, and I was delighted with her disposition, her encouragement, and her ability to explain design concepts so well. I must understand "why," and tend to need a narrative. Melissa has a wealth of knowledge and is able to explain the interplay of items in a space--subtle things I would normally overlook since I tend more towards high contrast design (and then immediately get tired of it). Since hiring Live Well Designs, I have not made a single wasted purchase. The master bedroom project has turned into a more fluid working relationship, so now I contact Melissa for general design questions, a quick thumbs up/down, planning out long range design goals, references for landscape designers, furniture makers, etc. The main entrance to our farmhouse is a mudroom/laundry room, so creating a messy, fun space was one of my favorite rooms so far! It's a wonderful comfort knowing I can rely on Melissa's expertise for all my crazy ideas, and she will be there with the expert edit. Such a joy to work with.
